Zenfolio | Lost Art Photography By Suzanne McNicol | Blog

I am so grateful for each and every opportunity I have received to document my clients special life events!

Below are a few reviews from some of my amazing clients...

Suzanne took my daughter`s senior pictures and it was an amazing shoot.  The first thing I noticed was her vision and how she could see how a certain picture would turn out before we could.  Every single picture was amazing.  Plus my daughter had fun while she was doing it.  Another thing that impressed me was that even though we had only scheduled a two hour window, she wasn`t worried about the time restraints.  She wanted to get certain pictures and we did.  I really appreciated the fact that her prices were not outrageous because she believes everyone should have pictures that will last a lifetime.  I have recommended Lost Art Photography to other parents of seniors.  Thank you Suzanne!!- Shonne

Recently my son got married and they chose Suzanne McNicol of Lost Art Photography to document their wedding experience. She was so professional and seemed to have the ability to find the right shot for every moment. We have been enjoying looking at these photos again and again and are constantly brought back to special moments that she captured that are beyond our best memories.
I highly recommend Suzanne for any special occasion. Thanks Suzanne!-Debbi
We are so enjoying seeing all the beautiful pictures you did for our family! I'm in awe... Thank you for doing such a great job and as you can see by all the “likes”(Facebook), others are enjoying them
too! -Sharon
I was nervous about my first shoot but once I met Suzanne she made me feel so comfortable and relaxed. She has a great personality, she's very professional, and of course, creates gorgeous photographs. Not to mention, she made the photo shoot experience so much fun! I love how my photos turned out and I'm already thinking about when I want to have another photo shoot.-Jeanell
Suzanne was simply amazing. She was so patient with my kids and her creative ideas made phenomenal pictures. With a 3 year old and 1 year old, pictures are a nightmare. Suzanne made sure that she got good photos of all of us and I can't say enough good things about the ease she created for me. I was nervous for how they were going to turn out because of how terrible the wind was and how grumpy my kids were but the pictures were beyond words. Thank you so much Sue you are one of a kind-Toni
I don't normally give 5 stars, but 5 stars is what this photography is worth. If you are looking for a photographer, no matter what it's for, Suzanne is the photographer to go with!!- Sherry
I can't say enough great things about Suzanne and the AMAZING photos she took of me and my fiancé :) I forgot that the camera was even there. She had a way of making us feel comfortable from the first moment. Suzanne worked with us to find a package that fit our budget. Thank you! And we look forward to working with you again soon!- Vanessa
I can't say enough great things about Suzanne! Our engagement photos came out so beautiful! She is beyond professional and knows her stuff. She made us feel very comfortable, natural and relaxed during the entire shoot. Everybody I show our photos to are blown away by the quality and elegance. I can't wait until she takes our wedding photos! Thank you so much Suzanne!-Melissa
Suzanne recently did a photo shoot of me, and I must say, SHE IS INCREDIBLE! I had never modeled (I am usually the one taking photos) and I wanted to get a taste of what it was like! Not only did Suzanne make it a comfortable experience, she made it fun! Not to mention, the pictures turned out to be the best photo's anyone has EVER taken of me. And, Suzanne was also fast in editing the photo's and having some uploaded the very next day! I strongly recommend Lost Art Photography to anyone in need of amazing photos!

Thank you, Suzanne! :)- Nici

This will be the spot to check out new ideas for photo shoots, tips for being in front of and behind the camera…great places to shoot at around the area and more! If you have questions or would like answers to specific questions feel free to post on my Facebook!

Have a beautiful day…

 Booking a shoot...

So, you have decided you want professional photos done..now what?

Do some research. Pinterest is awesome for getting ideas of what to wear, “props”, backgrounds, etc. When you begin looking for a photographer the main things to keep in mind is price, what you receive for the price and if things such as web-hosting and photo rights are included.

Chat with your photographer, see how flexible they are, see if your personalities match and if they don’t its ok to move on. Think of it like therapy, you want someone that understands you and you feel safe with so you can relax... word of mouth is great since your getting first hand experience

Outfits….if the photographer will allow an outfit change I would HIGHLY recommend it. Adding diversity to a shoot gives you more photos to play with and they won’t all look the same.

Picking where to shoot (I will post what I believe are the best places to shoot, depending on what you want, later)…so for now think of your vision. Indoors with lighting and a backdrop? Outdoors? Full set-up?... Your photographer should have ideas on all these topics but make sure you are clear on your vision because you have to look at the photos :).

Once all that is in place... relax. Take your time with the shoot and enjoy it!!!

Hope this helps :)
